Oh man! It has been a while since my last reading challenge update.
The good news? I never stopped reading. The bad news? I fell a little behind on writing about what I was reading!
The last time I checked in, I had completed 15 of the 20 books in my challenge. At that point, I only had three books left to read, but somehow I still had five books left to write about. Life has a funny way of doing that sometimes. We finish the book, jot down a few thoughts, and tell ourselves we’ll write the blog post tomorrow. Then tomorrow turns into next week… and before you know it, months have passed.
But I did it—I finished the challenge!
Over the next few posts, I’ll be catching up on the final books that completed my 20-book reading journey. Looking back, this challenge introduced me to books I never would have picked up on my own, encouraged me to revisit old favorites, and pushed me outside my usual reading comfort zone.
I traveled through history, explored distant planets, revisited classics from my school days, learned about government and law, read powerful biographies, and discovered stories that made me laugh, cry, think, and reflect.
One of those books was Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, a novel I first encountered as a student and appreciated in an entirely different way as an adult.
Sometimes the best part of a reading challenge isn’t checking off the boxes—it’s discovering how much you’ve grown as a reader along the way.
So grab a cup of coffee and join me as I finish sharing the last few books from this reading adventure. Better late than never!
