Next up in our Meet the Pack series is Wrangler—our loyal, steady presence and the dog who takes his job very seriously.

Every dog has a story. This is Wrangler’s.

Wrangler originally belonged to my son, Sawyer. He was a working dog, used to chasing cows and doing what ranch dogs do. Then one day, without any announcement or hesitation, Wrangler decided he was done with that life. He simply chose my house instead—and from that moment on, he became part of our pack.

Since then, Wrangler has been my constant companion. He follows me everywhere—helping work sheep, riding along to the store, and joining me on quiet walks. Wherever I go, Wrangler is usually right there, content just to be near.

Wrangler is an indoor dog, watching over his people day and night. While some dogs chase adventure, Wrangler prefers purpose. His job is to protect, observe, and stand watch, and he does it with quiet dedication. He is curled up on the couch with the rest of the pack, right where he wants to be—keeping a careful eye on everything that matters.

Wrangler reminds us that love doesn’t always look loud or flashy. Sometimes, it looks like showing up every day, standing guard, and doing exactly what you were meant to do.

Stay tuned as I continue introducing the dogs who make up our wonderfully unique pack—each with their own personality, story, and place in our hearts.
